This fine jewelry piece dates back to the end of the 19th century or the very beginning of the twentieth, That period is known in France as the Art Nouveau period. (Approximately the Edwardian era) , a period which gave rise to a very sophisticated period in jewelry making and craft.
This antique brooch is no exception. With its flower bouquet design, its curvilinear lines, it appeals to our aesthetic senses in many ways. The filigree stems, the petals of each flower and the scroll design, all contribute to making a most elegant vintage piece of jewelry.
The entire pin is made out of solid 18K gold*, as the eagle head icon guarantees its content. It is not gold plated nor filled. There is something missing in the center of the larger of the three flowers. We believe a small pearl was there at some point. But it does not detract from the overall elegance of the pin which is in excellent condition and ready to wear with your best outfit.
